First as a California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation volunteer, then as a major gift donor, and now as the Immediate Past Chairman of the 11-99 Foundation's Board of Directors, philanthropist Bob Teal's vision, leadership and profound dedication to the men and women of the California Highway Patrol inspire all who are touched by his work.

In the years that Bob has been affiliated and actively engaged with the CHP 11-99 Foundation, the organization's program expenditures have expanded significantly, and the number of people benefiting from Foundation support each year also has grown at a remarkable rate.

During Bob's tenures as Board of Directors Vice Chairman and Chairman, the Foundation's assets and endowment nearly tripled in value.  Today, due in large measure to Bob's vision, leadership and unwavering dedication to the men and women of the California Highway Patrol, annual revenues and assistance to CHP families have continued to grow each year, while combined program and operating expenses as a percent of net assets have continued to decline.
