Premier Private Collection Open House Benefited the 11-99 Foundation

To benefit the California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation's programs and commemorate the 11-99 Foundation's 25th Anniversary, Major Donor and Long-time 11-99 Foundation Supporter, Ambassador Theodore Gildred hosted an Open House and Live Automobilia Auction on Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Vista, California, at his Classic Assets Ltd. Motor Sports Center.

Mr. Gildred’s Classic Assets Ltd. Motor Sports Center (located at 2441 Cades Way, in Vista, CA) served as the venue for the event, on Saturday, May 19, 2007, from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.  The auction commenced promptly at 3:00 pm.  Event admission was $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and younger.

The featured auction item for this year’s event was a 1937 Ford Legend Race Car!  A minimum bid requirement for this unique car was imposed.

Legend racing offers all the thrills of major professional auto racing, on a hobbyist’s budget.  This beautiful 5/8 scale auto was modeled after the great cars driven by the sport’s earliest stars in NASCAR’s formative years.
