About Us
The California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation was founded in 1981, by visionary civic leader Bob Weinberg, to provide emergency Benefits to California Highway Patrol employees and the members of their families in times of crisis. The CHP 11-99 Foundation is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization.
Today, after 29 years of service to CHP families, the Foundation continues to provide much needed Emergency and Death Benefits and post-secondary level educational Scholarships. Since the CHP 11-99 Foundation was formed, the members of the Foundation's Board of Directors have provided over $18 million in program support to California Highway Patrol employees and eligible family members.
