About Us
The California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation was founded in 1981, by visionary civic leader Bob Weinberg, to provide emergency Benefits to California Highway Patrol employees and the members of their families in times of crisis. The CHP 11-99 Foundation is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization.
Today, after a quarter century of service to CHP families, the Foundation has grown to provide upwards of $2.5 million annually in the form of Emergency and Death Benefits and post-secondary level educational Scholarships. Since the CHP 11-99 Foundation was formed, the members of the Foundation's Board of Directors have provided over $16 million in program support to California Highway Patrol employees and eligible family members.

The California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation is led by a non-remunerated Board of Directors, whose dedicated members conscientiously and diligently maintain oversight of the Foundation's strategic planning, long-range budgeting, investment portfolio, and overall operations.

The California Highway Patrol 11-99 Foundation's Gift Planning Professional Advisory Councils are comprised of seasoned professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to educate donors and their advisors about the mission of the CHP 11-99 Foundation and mutually beneficial gift planning opportunities.
